“Not a magical girl…..”
“In fact, even now, she can’t really be called a B City resident. She’s just a regular guest at the border of the Dreamworld. If you’ve ever crossed paths with her, you might’ve heard her name.”
Tang Nai let out a light chuckle, not explaining any further, simply leaving Tang Mo hanging.
“A regular guest, huh? Don’t tell me you’ve been quietly nurturing a witch on the side.”
Tang Nai just smiled and didn’t answer, and that attitude made Tang Mo all the more certain of her guess.
“Are you insane? A B-rank witch? How do you plan on controlling her?”
“Wasn’t your idea of controlling Lando just as crazy?”
At those words, Tang Mo wanted to defend herself, but she couldn’t convince herself—she knew that even if the plan went smoothly, even if Luo Jialan really fell into her hands and became her mask, her puppet, all that control would crumble the moment Luo Jialan’s power grew stronger.
Tang Mo just wanted to use Lando to strike back at Tang Nai, but now even that idea had fallen apart.
Still, she’d gotten some information far more important than that.
“I admit it, but at least I haven’t succeeded yet. You’ve already let her grow to B-rank—a very strong B-rank.”
She finally figured it out: it wasn’t Tang Nai who had defeated Edma, but that mysterious B-rank witch.
‘And now, Tang Nai was planning to use her to deal with me.’
A chill swept over Tang Mo’s entire body as she finally understood the gap between herself and this silver-haired little monster in front of her—whether it was cunning, scheming, or the lines she wouldn’t cross.
This terrifying woman—no one knew better than her that she was brewing a dreadful disaster, and yet she acted with utter disregard…
Sure enough, ever since she surpassed everyone and stepped into the unreachable A-rank, she had lost her human thoughts and emotions.
“Don’t be so nervous. Are you worried about me? How rare. Even my troublesome little sister has a softer side now and then.”
“I finally get why you’re always able to keep up that fake smile.”
Tang Mo’s voice was stifled, as if she were Sisyphus pushing a boulder to the summit, only to be endlessly crushed and cast down in her own world.
‘What am I even thinking, trying to go up against her, against a god.’
‘Well, a wicked god, anyway.’
“Don’t think of me as such a monster. I’ve always considered you my sister, even now.”
Tang Nai’s hand gently landed on Tang Mo’s head, but the latter no longer had the heart to brush it away.
“Can I ask for another condition? If you really think that… think I’m your sister.”
“Of course, ask for as many as you like.”
“Let me make an exception, let me handle that witch.”
“No problem, but you know what price you’ll pay if you lose.”
Tang Mo took a deep breath, and to her sorrow, realized this was her first true encounter with the idea of sacrifice.
When Edma found out Irina was a witch, she started to lose her fighting spirit, but Irina had no intention of letting her off so easily.
The reason she grew weak after defeating Edma wasn’t from exhaustion, but because she was absorbing Tang Nai’s Pure Magic to recover her sanity.
Given time, she might really lose control entirely, and then unleash a true witch’s catastrophe.
As for what that might bring about, heh, all you had to do was look at those massive fish swimming in the Three-layer Dream.
They were born from a witch’s obsession, collecting the wills of countless people.
People say that in death, some are lighter than a feather, others heavier than a mountain, but the truth is, when you place their consciousness on a scale, they can barely tip a single gram’s weight.
Yet each of those Dreamswimming Fish weighed at least a hundred tons.

Lando’s attacks were relentless, slashing another bloody mark across Luo Linglan’s body from time to time, but on closer look, it was clear: to maintain such a high-intensity assault, Lando’s magic power had already been more than half exhausted.
The key to this was Luo Linglan’s domain that suppressed thought.
With every passing moment, Lando’s mind and reactions grew duller.
To maintain her speed, she had to rely solely on bodily instinct, which made it impossible to control each strike precisely—wasting vast amounts of magic.
If this continued and she weakened any further, her reaction speed would soon approach that of a regular human.
At that point, she would have no strength left to counter Luo Linglan’s retaliation.
But then, she heard a discordant voice.
“Want to use your power, don’t you?”
It was Irina’s voice, but hadn’t the connection between them already been severed by the barrier?
Lando glanced in the direction of the voice and saw a surprising sight.
A nearly invisible pale violet thread had somehow already pierced the barrier and wound around her body, yet showed no sign of being blocked.
On closer inspection, there was a faint blue magic power wrapped around the thread—that was Ning Xi’s authority.
A power that transcended all restraint, breaking every limitation.
“You finished so quickly.”
“Hehe, actually, I was done from the start. I just kept watching in secret so I wouldn’t interrupt your fight.”
Dealing with Ning Xi alone was tough, but Irina quickly found a clever trick.
The reason Ning Xi couldn’t break free of Tang Mo’s control was that after being together for so long, she could no longer tell which parts of her own thoughts were directed by Tang Mo.
But when Irina’s Threads of Dominion tangled with Tang Mo’s threads and drew them out, Ning Xi gained the ability to get rid of those troublesome things.
In just an instant, Ning Xi regained complete freedom.
Her authority was no longer suppressed as it burst forth, even surprising Irina a little.
The shortest and flattest blue-haired girl here was actually the strongest of them all.
After that, the two of them watched Lando’s battle in perfect harmony, idly chatting away.
Irina kept trying to avoid topics like mother-in-law relationships, but every third sentence out of Ning Xi’s mouth was about when she planned to have children with Luo Jialan, leaving Irina at a loss.
‘My side of the fight is way more intense, okay? If you don’t help soon, I’m going to go down!’
So she interfered in the battle, using it to divert the conversation.
“Actually, the reason Luo Linglan can seal off your powers isn’t that your magic is weaker, but that you haven’t mastered authority and unified your powers.”
A B-rank without Concept-level Authority can’t really be called a complete B-rank.
The only reason Lando could hold her own against Luo Linglan until now was because the other side was desperately holding back her own fighting spirit.
Otherwise, Lando would have already been defeated by Luo Linglan’s domain.
“But as long as you borrow this authority of freedom, you’ll be able to go head-to-head with her domain.”
Irina was about to send that thread of freedom authority to Lando through the Threads of Dominion, but she felt a rejection from the other side.
“I understand, but let me handle this myself. Just this once, I want to look cool in front of Su Mu.”
Lando sent out that thought, then cut off the connection herself, leaving Irina a little dizzy.
“Huhu, it’s the honeymoon phase, how sweet.”
Teased by Ning Xi, Irina’s face flushed red, but she didn’t argue back.
‘This girl!’
