Sefina watched Lisika in front of her, her eyes sparkling and her tail wagging so fast it looked like a propeller, and couldn’t help but sigh deeply once again.
This girl’s obsession with food really hadn’t changed one bit.
She reached into the delicate handbag she always carried—enchantments of spatial expansion and heat preservation woven into its fabric—and pulled out a silver, bucket-shaped container.
This was the Magic Thermal Bucket Sefina had crafted herself.
Twisting off the lid, a rich and enticing aroma of sweet and sour mingled with the distinctive fragrance of fried food instantly wafted out, causing Lisika to sniff eagerly, her mouth watering so much it almost dripped onto the table.
Inside the bucket were the dishes Sefina had specially prepared for Lisika early that morning: a golden-brown Squirrel Mandarin Fish drenched in piping hot sweet and sour sauce, alongside Crispy Fried Yellow Croaker, fried to a perfect balance of crispy outside and tender inside, releasing an irresistible fragrance.
“Here.”
Sefina lightly flicked Lisika’s smooth forehead with her index finger, the touch gentle, tinged with a mix of helplessness and affection.
“Eat up.”
“Thank you, Big Sister Head! Big Sister Head is the best, meow!”
Lisika cheered, momentarily tempted to grab the food with her bare hands, but was stopped by Sefina’s sharp glare.
So, Lisika obediently picked up her utensils and began to devour the meal heartily. Her ravenous speed made Sefina wonder if she hadn’t eaten for days.
A large plate of Squirrel Mandarin Fish and Crispy Fried Yellow Croaker rapidly disappeared before her eyes.
Seeing Lisika completely satisfied, slumped back in her chair rubbing her belly and letting out a burp, Sefina finally stood up slowly.
“Lisika,” Sefina’s tone grew serious, “your current task is to find a safe place within the royal capital to settle in first. The others should be arriving in the city one after another.”
“You’re responsible for contacting and receiving them discreetly, keeping the information flowing smoothly. If there’s an emergency, use the Old Method to contact me.”
“Got it, meow! I’ve got this!” Lisika pounded her chest confidently, nodding her head like a little chick pecking at grain.
Sefina nodded in return, saying no more. After settling the bill, she left the café. She actually had another meeting to attend to……
***
In the afternoon, Sefina returned to the Oscarenka Academy.
Perhaps because the academy had issued warnings about the magic bats and the Blood Clan, the campus felt much quieter than usual.
Even on a sunny weekend afternoon, few students lingered in the courtyards or hallways. Most obediently stayed inside their dormitories, and a subtle tension hung in the air.
Sefina walked along a quiet corridor toward the faculty residences, her gaze casually drifting toward an intersection in the distance.
A familiar figure holding several thick Magic Books appeared there.
However, the figure seemed to notice her at the same moment. Like a mouse seeing a cat, the person froze stiffly, immediately lowering their head and clutching the books, trying to turn around and walk back.
“Ellaria.”
Sefina’s cold voice was quiet but clear enough to cut through the corridor’s silence.
The golden-haired figure instantly stopped in place, motionless.
She hugged the books, stiffly turning her head, instinctively raising the books almost to cover most of her face, revealing only a pair of faintly flickering emerald green eyes.
Sefina’s thoughts: Sigh… she’s still afraid of me. Threatening her like that last time must have really scared her… It’s all my fault. She only meant well…
Ellaria’s thoughts: T-Teacher called me! It’s the weekend, so it probably has nothing to do with studying…
Could it be… could it be another threat like last time?! What warning does she want to give me now? Or is it going to be… like last time in the infirmary…?
Ugh.
The cheeks hidden behind the books began to flush uncontrollably, and her heart rate quickened.
“Ellaria,” Sefina’s tone remained emotionally flat, but it seemed less cold than usual.
“Come to my office.”
Office?!
The word struck Ellaria’s heart like a hammer.
To the teacher’s office?! That private space where it was just the two of them, sealed off?!
Was she going to continue threatening her to keep secrets there?
Or… because it’s more private, more convenient to do… special things?
That’s how it’s always written in the novels she’d read…
The dominant party calls the weaker one to a private space… and then… ugh… a bit scary.
But for some reason, Ellaria felt a strange stirring in her heart that compelled her to accept it all…
She even felt the heat in her cheeks rising higher and dared not meet Sefina’s eyes.
Yet, inexplicably, she didn’t refuse, merely nodding very slightly. Her long golden hair fell down, better hiding her flushed cheeks and complicated expression.
Come up.
With her head hanging low like a kitten caught by fate, she obediently followed behind Sefina.
Seeing Ellaria so “afraid” she almost curled into a ball, Sefina’s guilt surged like a tide.
Such a good girl… It’s clearly my fault, yet she’s so compliant… I was really too harsh back then!
So, filled with deep regret and the desire to make amends, Sefina led Ellaria into her office.
“Sit down.” Sefina gestured toward the chair in front of her desk, her tone surprisingly gentle.
Ellaria obeyed, sitting down with her hands nervously on her lap, her heart pounding wildly as strange scenarios began to play uncontrollably in her mind.
Then, she saw Sefina turn around, open a drawer in the desk, and pull out…
A black item that looked like a soft silk… Blindfold?!
Ellaria: !!!!!
Ellaria’s thoughts: Bl-Blindfold?! Does the teacher really like… like this kind of play?!
Next, is she going to… tie my hands?! Then, then… ugh!!!
Sefina calmly held the black Blindfold out in front of Ellaria, her voice still steady and without any hint of abnormality:
“Try it on.”
Ellaria: =(°=°)!w(°A°)w
