【Event Log: ‘Emotional Simulator’ module forcibly awakened, activation progress 1%.】
【Event Log: Activation failed, insufficient permissions.】
【Event Log: Core temperature overload, 17 unknown benign bugs detected in logic circuits, autonomously repaired by White Rabbit.】
【Event Log: Backup power core guided by non-standard protocol, 1.2-second high-frequency resonance detected.】
Damn!
Wall!
One word:
The lollipop in Mika’s mouth dropped to the floor with a “plop.”
She suddenly sat up straight in her chair, disbelief written all over her delicate face.
White Rabbit… was the core program she had personally coded, and a perfect automaton handcrafted by the Warden of Zone A.
Although it was a downgraded version serving as a guide in Zone C, its underlying logic was derived from the same source as the “sisters” in Zone A.
She knew better than anyone that the module named “Emotional Simulator” was locked with thirteen layers of Elf Clan Ancient Incantations.
That was the ultimate safeguard designed to prevent the AI from developing self-awareness, thus averting uncontrollable disasters.
To activate it, unless… unless someone with higher-level permission “keys” had bypassed all firewalls in a way she had never conceived of—
“Who did this?!”
Mika’s small hands became a blur over the screen, rapidly tracing back the data source.
Soon, another report was pulled up.
【Personnel File: Fan Zhuo】
【Position: Assistant Warden of Zone C】
【Event Log: 15:20:01 – First contact with terminal ‘White Rabbit’.】
【Event Log: 15:26:58 – Deep contact with terminal ‘White Rabbit’ (physical layer).】
【Contact points: Left hand, right thigh (longest duration).】
【Contact duration: 15 seconds.】
【Conclusion: ‘Emotional Simulator anomaly highly correlated with energy contact from Fan Zhuo.’】
Mika’s eyes grew wider and wider, her emerald pupils reflecting the sacred, ascetic ID photo on the screen.
“This new guy… a junior cleric?”
Her face first showed confusion, then shock.
Finally, a mischievous smile crept uncontrollably onto Mika’s lips, as if she had just found a brand-new toy.
“Hehehehehe…”
She let out a series of meaningless chuckles, her emerald eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Interesting… extremely interesting!”
“Someone actually managed to crack my lock? And it took fifteen seconds… by touching the hand and… the thigh?”
Mika licked her lips, as if she had just discovered an unparalleled treasure.
She had no intention whatsoever of reporting this to the Warden behind her.
What a joke! Such an intriguing “experimental subject” deserved to be “played with” by her first!
She lightly jumped off her chair, tiptoed to the nearby shelf, pulled out a piece of note paper, and scribbled a few words with a feather pen.
“I’m going to catch a little bug in Zone C, back before dinner.”
Then, she casually stuck the note on a humming server, and with a light step, bounced away into the shadows of the office.
Throughout all this, the unusually tall and curvaceous figure in the office never once turned her head.
She simply gazed quietly out the window, as if nothing Mika did could escape her watchful eyes…
***
Elsewhere, inside a prison cell in Zone C.
The sensation in her arms was softer and more elastic than the finest memory foam.
Alfea clung to Fan Zhuo like a koala, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist.
She buried her cheek into the hollow of his neck, greedily inhaling the warm and pure scent that made her soul tremble.
“Swallow…”
“Fan Zhuo… a little more…” Alfea murmured in a dreamy voice, her body unconsciously rubbing gently against his.
Fan Zhuo’s body stiffened instantly.
His hands hovered mid-air, caught between whether to move or not.
If he let go, Alfea was like a huge, clingy piece of taffy that he couldn’t shake off.
If he didn’t let go… where should his hands land?
On Alfea’s stunningly curved back?
Or on those supple, rhythmically rising and falling hips?
By the light of the Holy, this was an impossible question!
He could clearly feel that as their bodies pressed tightly together, wave after wave of purer Life Essence flowed from Alfea into him.
The Holy Ring deep within his soul churned like a tireless ox, fervently converting that energy into even more refined divine power.
The exhilarating surge of power mixed with the warm softness in his arms formed a nearly forbidden, intoxicating pleasure.
“Fan Zhuo…” Alfea seemed to notice his stiffness and lifted her head slightly, her moist blue eyes veiled with a dreamy mist.
“Your heartbeat… it’s so fast…”
As she spoke, she curiously reached out a translucent, pink jelly-like hand and gently pressed it against Fan Zhuo’s chest.
The corner of Fan Zhuo’s eye twitched wildly.
You… if you keep this up, the burn won’t be just here!
“Ahem!” Fan Zhuo forcibly calmed himself and said as gently yet firmly as he could,
“Alfea, get down first. Your current state is unstable. Prolonged… ‘energy resonance’ is too much of a strain on your body.”
“But… I really like this feeling…” Alfea pouted, not loosening her grip but hugging him tighter.
“Being with you… I feel like… I’m melting…”
As she spoke, she softened her body further, attempting a deeper “fusion” with Fan Zhuo.
Fan Zhuo felt an indescribable softness seeping through the seams of his uniform, invading everywhere.
Help! This slime girl is liquid! No honor in fighting!
If she comes any closer… then…
Just as Fan Zhuo’s sanity was about to be completely dissolved by this clingy slime girl, a sharp and piercing alarm echoed through Zone C!
【Warning! Warning! Unauthorized high-level divine energy detected! All personnel enter Level One Alert!】
The cold electronic voice reverberated down the corridor, accompanied by glaring red warning lights.
Startled by the sudden change, Alfea shuddered violently and instinctively released Fan Zhuo.
Fan Zhuo felt as if he had been granted a great reprieve, immediately stepping back two paces to put a safe distance between them.
He quickly tidied his disheveled uniform, restoring his usual sacred and ascetic demeanor.
“Stay in the room. Don’t come out.” He ordered sternly, then turned and strode out of the cell.
In the corridor, chaos had already broken loose.
Several guards gripped their weapons, nervously scanning the area.
Old John burst out from the office, cursing under his breath, but his gaze was unusually grave.
“What’s going on?!” Fan Zhuo asked in a deep voice.
“No idea!” Old John shook his head, eyes fixed firmly on the far end of the corridor.
“The energy reaction’s source is at the entrance! Damn it, could it be those bastards from the Holy City conducting a surprise inspection without notice?”
“Wait… shit, Old George, help me move those two barrels of wine…”
Before he finished, the heavy alloy door at the corridor’s end hissed softly and slowly slid open to both sides.
Blinding white light flooded in, causing everyone to instinctively squint.
Three figures walked in against the light.
Leading them was a man clad in a perfectly tailored, pure white Judgment Uniform adorned with golden edges and mithril runes.
He had dazzling platinum short hair, skin so pale it was nearly translucent, and features so exquisite they seemed sculpted by the gods themselves, without a single flaw.
His sapphire-blue eyes shone like the purest gems, but bore a coldness and arrogance that kept others at a thousand-mile distance.
This was a man so handsome that even those of his own gender felt inferior.
Yet for some reason, Fan Zhuo sensed an inexplicable dissonance about him.
Too perfect, too flawless… almost fake?
“Asfdel Zone C Warden, John Smith?”
The outrageously handsome man spoke in a voice as cold as ice, with a condescending scrutinizing tone.
“That’s me,” Old John’s face darkened as he recognized the insignia on the man’s uniform. “You’re… from the Inquisition?”
“I am Lucien de Valois.” The platinum-haired man lifted his chin slightly, announcing in a near-proclamatory tone,
“By secret order of the Pope’s Chamber, I have come to investigate the ‘Heretical Activity’ reported around Asfdel Prison. From this moment on, I will take full control of the investigations in Zones B and C.”
