Returning from the Continental Magic Academy, Samimi felt as if she had come back from a modern war zone to a primitive world.
It was like accidentally taking the wrong path in a game, finishing a segment of high-difficulty hidden storyline, and now returning to the newbie village storyline it just felt off.
The Lion King was obviously not a super powerful humanoid BOSS meant for this stage, but she had fought her hardest and barely cleared it.
I defeated even the Lion King, such a godlike beast, and now I’m supposed to be fighting low-level bandits and rogue knights by the roadside?
Are you kidding me? Couldn’t the villain’s style and level be upgraded a bit?
“I really am an Enchantment Immortal.”
Samimi watched Niubao wildly swing his sword, like a child with a new toy, gleefully playing with the Magic Sword Aura. She couldn’t help but smile wryly at herself.
Why say it like that?
Because her third legendary support spell, [Cherub’s Blessing], was also a damn enchantment skill!
“Niubao, pick up the Holy Hammer,” Samimi shouted.
“Got it.” Niubao reached behind his back, drew out the Holy Hammer, and dual-wielded.
“[Cherub’s Blessing],” Samimi quickly chanted the support spell.
The next moment, Niubao’s Holy Hammer burst into white flames—obviously an enchantment.
Little Miworm had already learned three types of enchantment spells; no one else could match her, hence her self-proclaimed title of Enchantment Immortal.
But that wasn’t a bad thing. Since enchantments could be activated simultaneously, though stars couldn’t be enchanted repeatedly, Niubao had two weapons and could enchant both with different properties, even wielding triple enchantments at once.
In fact, enchantments were the best way to maximize this Sin Nun’s unique skills.
If I learned ordinary mage projectile spells, their power would definitely be insufficient.
Besides, I do have projectile magic Sacred Weiwei’s Phantom Flying Sword counts as projectile magic—but do I use it? Its practicality is mediocre at best. Not worth enchanting a single hair compared to Sacred Weiwei’s enchantment.
Cherub’s Blessing was much better than normal magic enchantments. It gave weapons [Holy Attribute Flame Enchantment].
These white flames dealt devastating damage to all demons, but they also harmed ordinary people equally. In essence, it was just a recolored flame enchantment simple, brutal, and reliable, requiring no complicated explanation.
The best part of this support spell was that it allowed Samimi to wield fire magic across different domains.
Because theoretically, this support spell didn’t count as fire magic, but practically, it was blazing magic.
“Fire magic, now that’s a good thing. It’s no wonder fire mages have a few screws loose.”
Samimi was very satisfied with this support spell. Though it was essentially a fire enchantment, it was categorized as a support spell. That meant she could enchant any teammate’s weapon at will, no need to carry the Thorn Crown—its versatility was extremely high.
If there was a downside, it was that Holy Flame Enchantment caused tremendous wear on weapons.
High-grade custom weapons like the Golden Sword might not fear such wear, but the Holy Hammer was just a mass-produced weapon; burning it several times could damage it.
But if it broke, she’d just get Niubao a new weapon. The Holy Hammer really couldn’t compare to the Golden Sword anyway.
Samimi had long wanted to get Niubao better weapons—she was just eager to exhaust the Holy Hammer’s durability quickly.
“Ding ding dong!”
Suddenly, the Sweet Melon Chapel’s doorbell rang.
“Sister! Trouble! That baron from last time brought people to cause a ruckus again!”
They heard Knight Xiao Gao’s loud voice from a distance.
“Ah, perfect timing.”
Samimi snorted coldly. As soon as she learned a new move, some fool immediately came to meet their death—just as well.
With that, the three of them rose and headed to the iron gate to meet up with Knight Xiao Gao, then rushed to the Melon Guild.
The sky darkened, but the street crowds showed no sign of thinning. The entire town was packed.
Sure enough, they saw the Black Lily Baron from last time, his back bent awkwardly, one arm suspended by an embroidered band, but his expression was venomously wicked.
Even after being beaten into this state, he still wanted revenge?
Is this the villain’s concept of self-cultivation?
Besides the Black Lotus Baron and his gang of hired rogue knights, there was also a group of specially armored Kingdom Knights.
Of course, they were Kingdom Knights, but these people exuded an extremely sinister aura. They wore fully covering helmets, or else faceplates, never revealing their true faces.
They must be the “Kingdom Vigilance Knights” the Earl’s Lady mentioned.
The Sweet Melon Town Chief and local knights looked at them as if they were seeing the Grim Reaper—worse than dealing with nobles, utterly helpless. They could only wait for Sister to come and restore order.
“Sister!” Everyone relaxed upon seeing Samimi appear.
“Everyone, don’t get angry.” Samimi stepped before the crowd, shielding them, facing the nobility’s threat head-on for the first time in this strange world.
Still, she felt like, having defeated the Lion King, why was she now stuck dealing with such low-level enemies? Truly lacking in grandeur.
“Hehe, this is the [District Transfer Jurisdiction Order]. From now on, this town is under my management,” the Black Lotus Baron said, pulling out a gold-plated document and holding it before Samimi.
“Hmph? Let me see.”
Samimi tried to take the gleaming document.
The Black Blackberry Baron was also bold, handing her the document openly, not fearing her daring anything under so many eyes.
But the moment Samimi took the document, she blocked it from his view and tore it apart on the spot.
“You!” The Black Lotus Baron was stunned, or rather, everyone was dumbfounded.
How could anyone dare openly disregard the Kingdom Vigilance Knights’ authority like this?
Sure enough, the usually cold Kingdom Vigilance Knights finally reacted. Without a word, they drew their swords and raised them.
“You’re dead meat!” The Black Lotus Baron’s surprise turned to glee, as if he already saw the little nun’s death omen shining.
“Stop!”
At that moment, a noble lady appeared and stood behind the Nun of Atonement.
“Who are you?” the Black Lily Baron asked, then sneered, “Never mind who you are. From now on, you’ll spend the rest of your days in prison. Vigilance Knights, please arrest them!”
The Earl’s Lady didn’t say much. She pulled out an ancient brown emblem and showed it to the Kingdom Vigilance Knights.
“What worthless scrap of junk is that?” the Black Lily Baron mocked.
“This is my little town. Please help me expel these riffraff,” the Earl’s Lady said calmly.
“Ah? What nonsense are you talking about?” The Black Lily Baron laughed even harder.
The next moment, the Kingdom Vigilance Knights drew their swords.
But their blades weren’t pointed at the people of Sweet Melon Town. Instead, they swiftly subdued the Black Blackberry Baron and his rogue knights, pressing swords against their necks.
“Ah?” The Black Lotus Baron’s face immediately fell.
The Kingdom Vigilance Knights didn’t explain much, quickly capturing them all and escorting the riffraff out of Sweet Melon Town.
