Chapter 55: The Scarlet Crown

Fangs bared, glistening with a trace of saliva, they reflected in the moonlight like a thread of silver.

Bai closed her eyes, unable to bear it, bracing herself for the impending pain.

She drew close to Bai’s neck, ready to feast.

But then, her movements abruptly halted.

And then, unexpectedly, she pulled back.

“Ah, I almost forgot.”

Bai opened one eye.

Yalbera’s face was inches away, gazing at her with an emotion that was impossible to describe.

Just as Bai wondered why Yalbera had suddenly stopped, Yalbera lifted one of Bai’s arms.

She lowered her head, as if inhaling deeply, sliding slowly down Bai’s arm.

A few strands of silver hair draped over her face, adding an ethereal beauty to her profile.

Her red eyes narrowed slightly, savoring Bai’s scent.

“Master?”

Bai called out in confusion, not understanding this ambiguous gesture.

Yalbera inhaled softly, moving down to Bai’s palm.

The gesture felt like a kiss.

She brushed aside the hair and smiled, the curve of her lips seductive and bewitching.

She spoke.

“It’ll be over soon. Hehehe.”

The next moment, the fangs appeared again.

But instead of biting Bai’s neck, Yalbera gently pierced Bai’s fingertip.

Her movements were slow, almost tender.

Bai couldn’t understand, but was deeply shaken.

A drop of crimson blood welled up at the tip of her finger.

Yalbera turned Bai’s hand over.

The blood dripped onto the White Flower Wreath.

As it splashed, a ripple like a crown spread out, and the blood began to stain the petal red.

Then, one drop, two drops, three drops.

Blood continued to drip from the fingertip, strangely showing no sign of stopping.

Yalbera’s lips curled upward, watching with interest as each petal of the White Flower Wreath was dyed in her favorite color.

Bai wondered, surprised that it was only for staining the petals.

She had thought she would be drained to fainting again.

But her relief quickly vanished.

The entire wreath was large, and staining it completely red with blood was no easy task.

The blood kept flowing for a full ten minutes until the wreath finally turned red.

Just as Bai thought it was over, Yalbera showed no sign of stopping.

The blood dripped onto the already red petals, deepening the color even further.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes.

Bai’s vision blurred.

A chill crept through her body, and even her thoughts became sluggish.

“Master…the wreath is already red. Can you stop now? Bai is getting…dizzy.”

She pleaded, looking at Yalbera.

But the curve of Yalbera’s lips only grew wider.

Her pupils dilated with excitement, as if she might bite down at any moment…

She was enjoying this.

“Not enough. Hehehe. It’s not vibrant enough. The color I want is far more than this.”

She whispered, her voice sticky with joy and a twisted madness.

In that instant, Bai finally understood.

Yalbera had no intention of letting her go.

She just wanted to torment her in a new way.

Bai tried to struggle, but her body felt trapped, unable to move.

She could only watch helplessly as her blood was drained, staining the once white flower wreath.

Her heart grew cold, her body’s warmth stripped away.

She begged again, but her voice was barely a whisper, already fading into a mumble as her vision blurred completely.

Yalbera gave no reply, only watching as the wreath became more vivid.

Until the pure White Flower Wreath had transformed entirely into a demonic Red Crown.

At last, the blood stopped flowing.

Bai’s world faded to darkness, her body chilled to the bone.

Through the haze, she saw Yalbera’s frenzied smile.

Yalbera lifted the bloody crown, placing it on her own head.

Blood dripped from the crown, staining her clothes.

But Yalbera didn’t care.

She extended her cold, blood-stained hands, raising Bai’s pale finger.

Then, she brought it to her lips…

A wet, sticky sensation traced along Bai’s fingertip.

Yalbera was licking the blood, her tongue teasing and caressing every inch of skin until the blood stopped.

Finally, she opened her mouth in satisfaction, a string of saliva trailing.

Suddenly, Yalbera’s control faded, and Bai’s body collapsed, falling straight into Yalbera’s arms.

Yalbera opened her arms, embracing the faint Bai.

She leaned close to Bai’s ear and whispered.

“Did you feel it, Bai? My pleasure. Can you understand it? I was very happy, you know. Hehehe.”

Bai’s face was pale.

She struggled to speak, her voice barely more than a dream.

“Please…please…let Bai go…please…Master…”

Yalbera’s blood-stained tongue licked her lips.

The desire in her eyes showed no sign of fading; instead, it grew stronger.

She smiled in reply.

“I was already satisfied, but you shouldn’t have begged me, Bai. Because that only excites me more.”

The next moment, fangs appeared once more.

She bit into Bai’s neck.

Bai’s body convulsed.

Desperation drove her to try to push Yalbera away, but her resistance was weak and hopeless, serving only to spur Yalbera on, making her bites even more greedy and frenzied.

“Don’t…please…”

She pleaded softly.

But before the words were finished, everything went dark.

Her last strength faded, her hand falling limply onto Yalbera’s silver hair, blood staining it and leaving a crimson trail.

Bai fainted once again.

But Yalbera did not stop.

Lost in ecstasy, she failed to notice that Bai had passed out.

She wrapped her arms around Bai’s neck, indulging her excitement until she pressed Bai to the ground.

She lay atop Bai, both ambiguous and wild.

When she finally realized what had happened, Bai’s life was already slipping away—death only a step away.

She stood up, brushed back her hair, and the sticky excitement in her eyes began to fade.

She spoke with disappointment.

“Still not used to it? Fainted so quickly.”

She picked up the half-dead Bai and tossed her onto the Red Bed, red light flickering in her hand.

“Maybe next time I should restrain myself a little…”

She murmured, then sat back on the Ancient Chair, gazing at the flower crown.

By now, blood had fully saturated the white petals, transforming it into a demonic Red Crown.

Just like her eyes—bewitching and vivid.

A smile once again curled at her lips.
