“Nonsense!”
Kaka, standing outside the arena, was furious when he heard Hua Bing say that.
His face flushed red, his neck bulging with veins, and he even swore words he never used before.
He hurriedly rushed into the arena, shouting at Ivensel, who was gasping for breath and half-kneeling on the highest stone pillar with his head lowered: “Iven! Don’t listen to his nonsense! You’re way stronger than him!”
Quinn, unusually ignoring the stares of others, also shouted alongside Kaka: “Iven, you were only countered by chance! Any one of their team members definitely can’t beat you! Don’t give up!”
Su Xing’s face darkened as he shouted with a sneer: “Ivensel, if you’re fooled by some idiot into giving up, then you’re even worse than an idiot!”
Unlike their side, Victor’s team was clearly riding high on the wind. Victor shouted loudly: “Hua Bing, make him understand what the gap in status really means!”
Hua Bing sneered as he cruelly guided his ice bird closer to Ivensel.
“Pathetic, really. I thought…”
Before he could finish, a sharp pain suddenly stabbed his mind for a moment.
At the same time, Ivensel, who seemed ready to give up, suddenly exploded into action and leapt toward the ice bird, astonishingly grabbing its tail feathers.
“Wow!”
The entire arena erupted in shock; no one expected Ivensel to suddenly launch an attack.
After the brief stabbing pain, Hua Bing quickly regained his senses and immediately saw Ivensel clinging onto the ice bird’s tail feathers with one hand.
His heart jolted in alarm as he swiftly rushed over and mercilessly kicked at Ivensel’s hand with all his might, trying to knock him off.
“Get off! Aren’t you cold, Hua Bing? Damn it, why aren’t you leaving?”
“Hua Bing!”
Kaka and the others were furious; the verbal humiliation had already been enough, and now this was just going too far.
Ivensel gritted his teeth against the excruciating pain in his hand, holding on desperately.
This made Hua Bing even angrier and more frightened. His face twisted into a grimace as he kicked harder, even pressing his toes down on Ivensel’s hand.
At the critical moment, a white ghost suddenly darted in front of Hua Bing.
“Ah!”
Hua Bing was startled and involuntarily stepped back.
Seizing the moment, Ivensel pushed hard with his hand, flipped through the air, and landed gracefully back on the ice bird’s back.
“You… you…”
Hua Bing stared in fear at the stern-faced Ivensel, feeling an immense threat as he continued retreating.
Ivensel sneered coldly, advancing step by step.
“Maybe I really can’t become a Great Illusion Master, but beating you? That’s more than enough.”
With that, he strode forward and landed a right hook that knocked Hua Bing off the ice bird.
Hua Bing crashed heavily to the ground, while Ivensel, as the ice bird disappeared, leapt onto the stone pillar and landed elegantly back on the ground.
After taking the full force of Ivensel’s punch, Hua Bing’s right cheek was swollen, mottled with purple and red.
Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth as he watched the blond man slowly approaching, barely able to suppress his urge to surrender.
However, Ivensel saw through his intention and took the initiative, stepping forward in a swift arrow step to seize his chin.
“Still won’t give up?”
Ivensel mockingly asked.
“If not, I’ll keep attacking.”
Without mercy, he unleashed a brutal barrage of punches, as if repaying all the humiliation from earlier. He taunted while attacking.
“You think you can fool me?”
“I’m standing on the highest stone pillar, and yet you’re not even cautious?”
“Pathetic!”
Hua Bing was in utter misery.
Was he unwilling to surrender?
Clearly, with his chin seized, he couldn’t speak.
Now he had to endure Ivensel’s taunts too — even worse.
From Ivensel’s words, Hua Bing finally realized that the despair and defeat he had seen earlier was just a facade to lower his guard.
From start to finish, Hua Bing was utterly defeated.
The teachers backstage had also witnessed this scene.
Naturally, they understood why Hua Bing still hadn’t begged for mercy.
The homeroom teacher of Class A was furious: “This Ivensel is too vicious. I told you we shouldn’t have let him into the school!”
He then tried to step out to end the match.
Aedra stopped him: “Where are you going?”
“Of course to end the match! Ivensel took off Hua Bing’s chin, so he can’t surrender! Didn’t you see?”
Class A’s homeroom teacher said anxiously.
Aedra smiled in rare satisfaction and repeated what had been said earlier: “But that’s not against the rules! So you have no authority to interfere with the exam.”
Meini couldn’t help but chuckle and stood firmly with Aedra: “Yeah, Ivensel didn’t break any rules. Andrew, no double standards!”
Andrew was the name of Class A’s homeroom teacher.
Blocked twice in a row, Andrew was frustrated and couldn’t say a word.
But seeing Hua Bing’s miserable state, his protective instincts flared.
He gritted his teeth and looked at Winx unwillingly: “Director, this can’t go on, right? Hua Bing can’t surrender, and the exam can’t end!”
Winx slowly took a sip of tea: “Nothing wrong with that. Once Hua Bing passes out, the exam ends. Besides, the exam has a time limit. When the time’s up, the exam ends anyway.”
Andrew was speechless.
After a long pause, he laughed bitterly: “Fine, fine! I’ll definitely ask the principal to revise the exam rules!”
He then stormed off angrily.
After he left, Onnie couldn’t help but laugh: “Hahaha, what goes around comes around!”
On the arena, Ivensel kept hitting Hua Bing while pressing acupuncture points to keep him conscious.
When it came to tormenting someone, no one knew better than him.
Hua Bing was miserable, silently hoping someone would come to save him.
Such a blatant grudge match—surely the teachers wouldn’t ignore it?
But to his disappointment, no one stopped Ivensel’s rampage until the exam ended.
When the time was up, Ivensel finally let go of Hua Bing and lay to the side, gasping heavily.
His strength was already drained, and after five more minutes of beating Hua Bing, he barely had any left, holding on by sheer willpower.
With Ivensel’s influence gone, Hua Bing immediately fainted.
Yet miraculously, all his wounds healed completely. The same went for Ivensel.
“Iven!”
Su Xing and the others climbed over the barrier and rushed over, gathering around Ivensel.
Kaka waved his arms excitedly: “Iven, you’re amazing! I didn’t even see it coming!”
Ivensel lay on the ground with his eyes closed, surrounded by his noisy friends, but their joyful voices couldn’t be hidden.
He raised one hand to shield his eyes, a wild smile creeping up at the corners of his mouth.
He had won!
Suddenly, he felt his hands and feet grabbed, his entire body lifted off the ground.
Ivensel tensed up, opening his eyes to see his three friends wearing mischievous looks.
“Wait! You guys…”
He tried to stop them, but Su Xing gave an order: “Throw!”
The next second, Ivensel was tossed high into the air by the three of them, soaring upwards, then caught again, and thrown once more…
“Iven’s the best!”
The medical staff hurried over, looking at the kids with helpless expressions.
They weren’t worried about the students’ injuries—after all, they had just been through an intense match—but the two kids needed rest for their mental state as well.
Why weren’t they concerned about injuries?
Because the entire arena was under the Principal Tang’s Restriction — the “Ten-Minute Rewind Rule.”
The “Ten-Minute Rewind Rule” was Principal Tang’s signature technique.
Within a certain space, once a restriction was set up in advance, no matter what happened in those ten minutes, after they passed, everything would rewind to how it was ten minutes before.
Even if someone died within those ten minutes, they would return to normal when time reset.
This was the terrifying power of mastering time.
That’s why the school confidently allowed students to fight in the arena, setting the exam time limit to ten minutes.
In the end, Ivensel was the only one lying on the infirmary bed.
Su Xing and the others stood timidly before the doctor, listening as he lectured them earnestly.
Meanwhile, news of Ivensel defeating Hua Bing quickly spread through the first year.
Ivensel’s invincible physical skills were well-known, but Hua Bing’s strength was also undisputed.
So the exam had drawn a lot of attention.
This was also one reason the arena was packed. Midway through, everyone thought Ivensel was surely going to lose, but unexpectedly he staged a huge comeback.
Hua Bing was still unconscious in the infirmary.
It wasn’t due to physical injury; after all, the medics at the Spirit Domain Academy were very reliable.
The main reason was the heavy mental blow that left him in a coma.
“Would you say this counts as a complete victory for the last-ranked team? They won two matches in a row against the top team!”
A student exclaimed.
“Complete victory is impossible; they had no chance in the last two matches,” another student retorted.
“But it’s impressive. If it were us against Victor’s team, we’d definitely lose all.”
The first nodded.
“True. Neither Lird nor Hua Bing are easy opponents. Our team still needs more members after restructuring, right? Should we try inviting them?”
The second hesitated: “Quinn has already rejected other team invites before; I don’t think he’d agree now. And Ivensel… hss! Such a cold-faced god. Even if he’s strong, would you dare invite him in?”
That hit the mark.
The first sighed: “Forget it, we’ll see about that later.”
Back in the dormitory, Su Xing sighed deeply.
Next time it would be her turn.
With Quinn and Ivensel performing so well, she felt the pressure mounting!
At that moment, class president Onnie walked over and congratulated her immediately: “Su Xing, your team’s performance was really unexpected! You’ve brought great honor to Class B!”
Su Xing composed herself and smiled, nodding: “Quinn and Iven have always been strong. This time, they finally showed it.”
Whether it was Quinn’s adaptability or Ivensel’s tenacity, both deserved praise.
Su Xing thought that after this exam, no one would dare call them losers again.
Onnie looked at the smiling black-haired girl before her, unusually hesitant.
She never understood Su Xing’s thoughts and couldn’t read her mood.
After a moment, Onnie softly said: “Good luck in tomorrow’s match!”
Su Xing paused briefly, then laughed: “Thank you, class president!”
Back in the dorm, Su Xing summoned Fengjun.
‘The little fox nuzzled against her calf, letting out a soft whimper.
Su Xing picked it up, their eyes meeting: “Quinn and Iven both won. Do you understand what that means?”
“Whimper!”
Fengjun cried out proudly.
Su Xing continued, “I learned something new about Avier’s Tailwing Butterflies yesterday. Besides the clones we knew, each Tailwing Butterfly clone has a certain attack power.”
“In other words, when they face them, it won’t just be a sky-darkening swarm of butterflies, but also a powerful assault formed by countless tiny attacks.”
“Whimper, whimper, whimper!”
Fengjun nudged forward, pressing its wet nose against Su Xing’s.
It seemed to be comforting her.
Su Xing’s eyes softened but remained determined: “Although Avier can only release a limited number of butterflies right now, that’s enough for us. So we have to finish this fight quickly!”
Fengjun broke free from her arms, jumped onto the bed, wagged its tail, and made a fanning motion.
Su Xing watched its movements thoughtfully: “You’re saying… there might be another way?”
