Realm Sea—
The origin of all things in some religions.
It is not something that exists in the real world.
Take a globe, and draw a crooked, continent-crossing dotted line along the coast of the Eurasian Continent—that dotted line is the Realm Sea.
On the globe, the Realm Sea is just a thin line, occupying little space in reality, but in fact, it exists in a different dimensional space, almost isolating the Eastern and Western hemispheres.
It’s like traveling from home to school—a journey that should take less than five minutes—but if there were a barrier thinner than paper on the route, stepping into that barrier would mean entering another dimension.
To get out on the other side and reach school, you’d have to cross that entire space, turning a five-minute journey into fifty minutes.
That’s exactly how the Realm Sea is.
To get from the Eurasian Continent to the other side of Earth, you either take a detour or enter the Realm Sea and cross through it.
But crossing the Realm Sea is a false choice because no one has ever tried it, and naturally, it’s unknown if it’s even possible.
There is nothing inside the Realm Sea—only gray waves rising and falling.
At intervals, irregularly shaped, variously sized unreal geometric objects float in the air or on the water’s surface, providing footing for other beings in this vast Realm Sea.
The horizon glows with the color of a dying sunset. At first, one might be enchanted by the scenery, but the longer you look, the more terrifying it feels.
In such a terrifying ocean—
“Zhuzhu, how’s your situation over there?”
A well-built woman contacted her teammates via a pre-installed Signal Receiver.
Zzzt… Zzz—
“…All normal, no danger detected. Though, is this reconnaissance really necessary?”
Zhuzhu hid behind an unreal object and said, “The Realm Sea is ridiculously vast. I can’t see any other lifeforms. Apart from being careful not to get swallowed by the waves, there’s no other danger, right?”
“Don’t talk nonsense. Wasn’t there a creature that broke through the Realm Sea checkpoint before? Enough talk—focus on reconnaissance.”
Around them, more than ten people waited for the other party to appear.
This transaction was very important.
The Irregular Organization had dispatched their third-in-command, the captain of the Number Zero Squad, whose real name was just ‘Zero.’
Zero was now in the Realm Sea, highly alert.
In this barren place, anything could happen.
[We already knew the Realm Sea Special Action Division and the Magic Alliance would send people to cause trouble. So why set the trade location here?]
Zero suspected their team was a decoy and that the real transaction point was elsewhere.
But if that were true, then even Zero, the Number Zero Squad captain, would be a pawn to be sacrificed. That would be too costly.
Meanwhile, where Zhuzhu was—
Zhuzhu raised a telescope to scan the surroundings of the Realm Sea from a high vantage point.
Besides the rolling waves and unreal objects, there was nothing else to see.
A true void.
“The captain is really worried. As long as we don’t go deep into the Realm Sea, is there really any danger here besides other humans?”
“Is that so? I think her caution is not without reason.”
A female voice spoke behind him.
Zhuzhu’s strong body suddenly froze and then very slowly turned around.
“…Who?”
“Ha, who do you think?”
—The girl had deep crimson hair flowing like molten blood, a luxurious yet sexy gown, with mismatched lengths and colors of stockings…
“Ellera…?”
Zhuzhu asked, half in doubt.
He remembered Ellera should have silver hair.
“Oh my, aren’t you going to add the word ‘Lord’?”
The girl confirmed his guess, making him tremble all over.
Zhuzhu’s reaction made Luo Youyou chuckle softly, “Don’t be so scared~~ Even if you once laid siege to me, I’m not planning to take revenge on you.”
Luo Youyou clearly remembered that seven years ago when she defected from the organization, this guy’s attacks had been especially fierce, even though none actually hit her.
Zhuzhu clenched his trembling hands and whispered, “Why… are you here…”
“Didn’t Yue tell you? I came here to… oh~~”
Luo Youyou slowly raised her eyebrows, the reason suddenly clear.
She smirked, “Looks like they’re afraid of insiders… and want me to take care of them.”
“Insiders? What insiders?”
Zhuzhu immediately tried to contact Zero.
“Now, now~ Don’t rush and don’t tell anyone I’m here, or I’ll take you out in a flash.”
Zhuzhu felt a chill on his scalp, his hands falling powerless.
This woman…
Any thought of opposing her was a foolish decision against reason!
At that moment, the scout sent a message.
“They’re here.”
“Received. Prepare for the trade. Watch out for the other side trying to double-cross.”
In the distance, several strange-looking sea-skimming aircraft crossed the Realm Sea.
They were the Smuggling Faction—the trading counterpart of the Irregular Organization this time.
These ‘Smugglers’ were not the normal ‘smugglers’ known to humans.
They had been in the Realm Sea for many years and rarely returned to human society, wandering within the Realm Sea.
Like ancient nomads roaming the grasslands their entire lives.
Or pirates who spent most of their lives at sea.
Because of this, the Smugglers always found good items in the Realm Sea and traded with human society’s forces.
The aircraft landed steadily before the Irregular Organization members.
A tall but lean man descended from above.
“Hello, everyone. How many times have we traded now? Hope it will be as pleasant as before.”
“Captain Ku, hello.”
Zero didn’t waste words and asked directly, “Have you brought the goods we requested?”
“Of course, it’s a trade after all.”
Captain Ku gestured for his crew to unload the cargo and said,
“You guys always find out the good stuff here first… Ah, of course I’m not accusing you of planting spies on our side. Haha, after all, when we find good things, we have to sell them.”
Zero had nothing to say.
“You should have your goods ready too, right?”
“Of course.”
Zero signaled his people to bring out the chips for trading.
Trading with Smugglers who lived long-term in the Realm Sea obviously couldn’t involve money, something useless here.
They wanted ‘practical goods’ from human society.
Zero’s trade chip was—
“Didn’t expect you really brought it. My goodness, the core component of an Equatorial-class Supermassive Star Ring: the Singularity Core… It’s my first time seeing one, and it’s so well-preserved. I remember this tech is strictly sealed off, right? How did you get your hands on it?”
“Secret.”
“Haha, true. Let’s finish this trade quickly.”
Both sides hurried to load and unload, unwilling to stay longer than necessary, wanting to take what they wanted and leave before anything went wrong.
However—
“Surround them!”
From all directions of the Realm Sea, a large number of military police surrounded the area at once.
A dazzling, radiant sphere rose into the sky, illuminating everything below without hiding place.
At the center of the encirclement, Zero’s face darkened.
They really came! The Realm Sea Special Action Division!
Over a hundred people in uniform appeared in view, each radiating imposing aura.
“Have long known your Irregular Organization never changes its ways, but have spared you due to lack of evidence. This time we caught you red-handed.”
The head of the Realm Sea Special Action Division, Jomir Wells, walked at the forefront, his foreign sharp-featured face cold and stern.
Impossible! Zero roared silently.
The trade goods were indeed here, so they couldn’t be pawns. Yue must have made other adjustments!
Captain Ku looked at Zero gloomily.
“By doing this, no one will trade with you in the Realm Sea again!”
“I didn’t call them here. Complaining to me won’t help.”
Zero’s voice was cold.
“Instead of blaming, better to break out—”
“No chance to break out.”
Another voice sounded from the Realm Sea. Massive magic power surged like a tornado, splashing a huge amount of seawater.
It was a mysterious power far beyond ordinary people.
Superpowers held by ordinary humans were insignificant against this magic.
A one-in-a-million absolute elite, turning impossibility into possibility: the Magic Alliance’s Third Seat—
“Though I don’t know all the details, catching you red-handed makes it clear.”
Xingyue glanced behind Zero and said, “You dare to trade something like the Singularity Core? That alone damns you forever.”
If it were other Magic Girls, Zero and his team might have resisted or tried to flee.
But the Ten Seats were the Ten Seats, their power existed to ‘make the impossible possible.’
The Irregular Organization had never independently defeated any of the Ten Seats with their own power.
Except for Ellera.
“Lady Xingyue, no need to waste words with them. Recently, dimensional beasts have been invading frequently—most likely these guys are behind it.”
Jomir Wells said coldly.
Though annoyed at taking orders, Xingyue stood firm in her conviction.
She asked Zero, “Do you have anything to say?”
“More words are useless!”
A gray haze rippled behind Zero.
“Hmph, death is near, yet you’re still oblivious!”
Jomir Wells sneered, “Lady Xingyue, we’ll handle the lockdown and siege. The matter of punishing the criminals is yours! Killing them on the spot is fine.”
“…I will judge for myself.”
The next second, massive magic power erupted directionally, the dazzling brilliance of a Ten Seat’s spell shining in this deserted, desolate sea.
Jomir Wells watched coldly, unreadable on his face.
But soon, his poker face could not hold.
“Strange, I sense a killing intent from you. Very strong, indiscriminate… killing intent.”
Jomir Wells blinked in disbelief, looking to his side.
A woman, filled with a dangerous aura, suddenly appeared beside him, talking like an old friend.
Who was this?
“Late introduction. My name is Ellera. You should have heard of me.”
After a brief introduction, Luo Youyou issued a deathly question.
“Do you intend to kill everyone here except your own side? Including the Magic Girls… and then bury all the evidence in the Realm Sea?”
