Chapter 76: Bone Dragon

Iana dashed toward the source of the roaring, feeling the oppressive pressure from the demonic creature grow stronger with every step.

“What level of demonkind is this?” Iana swallowed nervously.

When Iana finally arrived at the demon’s location, she discovered it was a dragon-shaped demon constructed entirely from bones—a Bone Dragon.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before.”

Whether in class or in the Saint Roland Magic Academy’s library, Iana had never come across this type of demon.

Having no prior knowledge of this demon meant Iana didn’t know its weaknesses, so she had no choice but to face it head-on.

Iana wasn’t alone.

Upon hearing the roar, Veronica, Lu Fei, Beiqi, and the Dragon standing beside Lu Fei had all arrived.

Besides them, some confident students had also chosen to stay instead of fleeing.

Looking at everyone present, though Iana still felt uncertain, at least this time she wasn’t fighting alone.

“Yo yo yo, this little trash Bone Dragon dares to act arrogant in front of me, Lu Fei the Great.”

“I don’t think you’ve ever felt what an electric shock really feels like. It’s a wonderful sensation—one even I, Lu Fei, rarely give myself.”

With that, Lu Fei took the initiative, summoning two balls of lightning in her hands and charging fiercely toward the Bone Dragon.

“Lu Fei the Great is feeling merciful; I’ll let you experience it properly.”

Beiqi, standing next to Lu Fei, tapped her head and muttered, “This Lu Fei really is a handful.”

“I find it entertaining,” Ishiya said maliciously, watching Lu Fei rush forward.

“That’s why I say our team is a bunch of problematic girls,” Beiqi sighed, clearly exasperated by their comments.

Iana watched Lu Fei and couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat for her.

Though Lu Fei was annoying and seemed like she deserved a good beating, Iana still hoped she could deal some damage to the Bone Dragon.

The Bone Dragon’s hollow eyes burned with twin ghostly blue flames, as if mocking everyone’s arrogance.

The lightning in Lu Fei’s hands reached its peak.

The moment it touched the Bone Dragon, bolts scattered in all directions, dazzling everyone’s eyes.

But when the white light faded, all they saw was Lu Fei’s shocked expression—and the Bone Dragon, completely unharmed.

“Didn’t expect this little trash Bone Dragon to be this strong.”

The Bone Dragon let out a deep, furious roar, swinging its massive bony tail viciously at the one who dared challenge its authority.

Too close to dodge, Lu Fei could only block with her arms, trying to withstand the attack.

“Frozen Eternity Ice Seal.”

Beiqi quickly used her primary skill—not aiming to freeze the Bone Dragon, just to delay its assault enough for Lu Fei to escape.

But Beiqi’s attack had no effect.

The huge bony tail slammed down on Lu Fei’s arms with full force.

Lu Fei’s body flew back like a cannonball, crashing through several trees.

Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth as she lay motionless on the ground, looking as if she were dead.

“Lu Fei!” Beiqi shouted, but there was no response.

“You say this girl has no strength but loves to show off—what else can I say?” Ishiya sneered.

“When we get back, I’m going to roast her good.”

“We can’t fight solo anymore. We have to cooperate,” Iana said.

“Cooperate? With you guys?” Ishiya eyed Iana’s aura skeptically.

“A girl with only 1% bloodline development telling me what to do?”

“And how did you even sneak in here? Is the Holy Trial open to just anyone now?”

“You say cooperate, I say no,” Ishiya scoffed, raising her chin.

The dragon tail behind her swished impatiently.

“I’m strong enough to handle this Bone Dragon on my own.”

She flicked her tail at the Bone Dragon, sending several ice spikes hurtling through the air.

The ice spikes collided with the Bone Dragon, shattering with sharp cracking sounds—but not a single scratch was left behind.

Ishiya’s expression darkened.

Unwilling to give up, she summoned even more ice spikes toward the Bone Dragon.

But it was all in vain—the spikes hitting the Bone Dragon were like mere tickles.

“How is this possible?” Ishiya bit her lip, panic flashing in her eyes.

Before she could react further, the Bone Dragon’s mouth gathered a ball of black flame and suddenly blasted it toward her.

“Watch out!” Iana shouted.

Only then did Ishiya react, but it was already too late to dodge.

Iana leapt with all her strength, knocking Ishiya to the ground just as the black flame shot past them.

The two rolled awkwardly to the side.

Ishiya looked at Iana beneath her and asked, “Why did you save me?”

“Now’s not the time to argue—we have to work together if we want to defeat this Bone Dragon.” Iana stood up and brushed the dirt from her clothes.

The Bone Dragon, missing its target, roared in fury.

The ghostly blue flames flickered violently in its empty eye sockets.

“I understand now,” Veronica finally spoke after remaining silent until then.

“The flames inside its eyes are its weak point.”

Before Iana could ask how Veronica knew, she moved on.

Ishiya stood and threw several more ice spikes at the Bone Dragon’s eyes.

Still no effect.

She shot a doubtful glance at Veronica.

Veronica explained, “This Bone Dragon is immune to magical damage. To kill it, you have to stab a sword into its eyes.”

“To do that, we must first control it.”

“Since it’s immune to magic, how do we control it?” Beiqi asked.

“With our bodies.” Veronica paused thoughtfully before answering.

Everyone present was stunned by Veronica’s words.

“With our bodies?” Ishiya widened her eyes.

“Are you crazy? That thing can rip a person apart with one swipe!”

Iana nodded, “Maybe that’s the only way. Veronica, can you explain how exactly we should do it?”

Veronica’s gaze swept across the group, calm and resolute.

“Someone needs to attract its attention while the others physically restrain it.”

“Ishiya, you’re Dragonkind, right? You’re the strongest among us. I think you’re the best choice to control the Bone Dragon’s movements. Of course, one person won’t be enough. Beiqi, you’ll assist Ishiya. Iana, you will be the bait to lure the Bone Dragon.”

“Then I’ll deliver the killing blow.” Veronica laid out the battle plan clearly.
