“Jinger, why are you here?”
Gong Nanxue looked in surprise toward the door at Cai Jinger.
Before she could react, Cai Jinger strode over, forcefully pulled Bai Rourou out of her arms, and then gave a hard shove.
“ABAJ!”
Caught off guard, Bai Rourou fell hard, her already sensitive and fragile body aching so much that tears welled up in her eyes.
“What are you doing?”
Gong Nanxue hurriedly grabbed Cai Jinger, who seemed ready to act again.
“Xue Xue, what are you doing? It’s only been a few days and you’ve already gotten close to another woman?”
Cai Jinger looked at Gong Nanxue, jealousy in her eyes, and said aggrievedly, “I even heard this girl confess to you outside the door! She threw herself into your arms and you didn’t refuse!”
“I just didn’t react in time.”
Gong Nanxue explained, “I told you I wouldn’t like girls or boys.”
“I don’t believe it!”
Cai Jinger’s eyes reddened with anger.
“Believe it or not, it’s up to you.”
Gong Nanxue’s face turned cold, not wanting to say more.
In her view, it was something insignificant, yet Cai Jinger was making such a fuss.
They weren’t even in any kind of relationship, yet it seemed as if they were really a couple.
“Bai Rourou, I don’t like girls. I’m truly sorry.”
Gong Nanxue quickly walked over, helped Bai Rourou up from the floor, said this, then returned to her seat and issued an eviction order to Cai Jinger.
“Cai Jinger, why did you suddenly come here? Aren’t you supposed to be at Junjun? Go back quickly.”
She remembered that the Junjun schedules for both schools were synchronized.
“Are you trying to chase me away?”
Cai Jinger grew even angrier.
She had gone to great lengths to forge a Medical Report just to avoid Junjun and come keep Xue Xue company.
And now Xue Xue was treating her like this!
A mixture of bitterness and grievance rolled in her chest.
Cai Jinger suddenly turned to look at the slender girl.
It was all this person’s fault for ruining her relationship with Xue Xue!
Without thinking, she strode up to the slender girl.
Only when she got closer did she realize how pretty she was, with an aura of fragility, especially those clear, dewy eyes like a young deer, making her look pitiable.
“Come with me!”
She pushed open the balcony window, pulled the girl outside, and closed the heavy window behind them.
“It hurts!”
The grip on her wrist was so strong that Bai Rourou winced, trying to pull her arm back.
But her struggle only fueled Cai Jinger’s anger.
With a swift movement, Cai Jinger shoved her hard against the wall.
“Ah!”
Bai Rourou cried out.
“What do you want?”
“How dare you chase after my girlfriend?”
Cai Jinger lowered her head, looking at the weak girl before her.
The redness in her eyes and those misty deer-like pupils made her look even more delicate, making it hard not to bully her.
Upon hearing this, Bai Rourou suddenly regretted confessing so bluntly.
She hadn’t expected Gong Nanxue to have such a strong-willed pursuer.
Wasn’t she just asking for trouble?
“I… I’ve liked Nan Sister since high school!”
Nan Sister?
Calling her so affectionately only made Cai Jinger angrier.
She grabbed the girl’s chin, her thumb and forefinger sinking tightly into Bai Rourou’s soft cheeks.
“Hiss~”
Bai Rourou winced, immediately trying to break free.
But as soon as she raised her hands, Cai Jinger gripped her wrists and pinned them above her head, forcing her to lean forward.
“What’s that smell?”
A strange fragrance filled her lungs.
Cai Jinger frowned, looking at the teary-eyed girl in front of her.
Was it coming from her?
It actually smelled pretty good.
“Can you let me go? I promise not to pursue Nan—Gong Nanxue anymore.”
Bai Rourou decided that a wise person submits to the circumstances.
Given the height and strength difference, there was no contest at all.
“Are you sure?”
Cai Jinger carefully examined the girl, noticing her clothes were all cheap, and even her undergarments were worn thin from washing.
She inwardly scoffed at the poor girl.
Someone this weak and poor couldn’t possibly be Xue Xue’s type.
With this in mind, Cai Jinger finally released her grip and warned coldly, “Move out of here. You’re not allowed to stay.”
“Why? I already said I wouldn’t pursue her.”
The girl pressed her lips together, red finger marks still on her pale face, looking pitiful.
“When I tell you to move, you move. I don’t believe there’s not a single empty spot in such a big Zhusu building.”
After saying that, Cai Jinger pinched the soft flesh at the girl’s waist hard, continuing her warning, “If I find out you get close to my Xue Xue again, it won’t be this simple!”
“Understood.”
Bai Rourou lowered her head in grievance.
Her body was so fragile that the pain in her waist made it hard to stand.
This woman was too ruthless.
All she did was confess and give a hug.
What Bai Rourou didn’t know was that Cai Jinger hadn’t been able to hug Gong Nanxue in two years.
“Heh.”
Looking at the ostrich-like figure, Cai Jinger let out a disdainful laugh, pushed open the window, and walked back inside, where she saw Xue Xue gaming with headphones on.
“Looks like Xue Xue really has no interest in this Bai Rourou.”
Cai Jinger had bullied her just to see if Xue Xue would react.
If she did, then she’d have to drive the girl away no matter what.
Now it seemed she’d been overthinking.
Besides, after being scared like that, someone as weak as Bai Rourou wouldn’t dare pursue her Xue Xue again.
Cai Jinger knew Gong Nanxue hated being disturbed while gaming, so she simply pulled up a chair next to her and waited for her to finish.
Outside the window, Bai Rourou was checking her injuries.
The worst was the bruise on her waist where Cai Jinger had pinched her, turning her fragile skin purple.
She’d also hit her knee when she was pushed down in the dorm.
Looking down, her bony knee had red spots and a scrape.
“How unfair. She hit me without even figuring out right from wrong.”
Bai Rourou took a few steps, her knee aching with each move.
She felt helpless about her fragile body.
Even after taking care of it for a month, there was barely any improvement.
She’d even found time to visit the hospital, but the doctor said there was nothing wrong—it just wouldn’t get better.
After washing her hands and cleaning the wound on her leg, she pushed open the window, only to see that violent woman still inside.
She stared back with a threatening gaze, making the delicate Bai Rourou too scared to make eye contact, fearing she’d be bullied again.
“With such a minor injury, by the time the police arrive, I’ll already be healed.”
Bai Rourou thought to herself, then quietly climbed onto her bunk and lay down for a nap.
There was still Junjun in the afternoon, and she had to teach English in the evening…
