“So awkward…”
Inside the stall, Lin Xinyuan looked at his current body, his face burning hot.
A field of pale white, no less alluring than a flimsy, pure white slip, with a faint rosy glow beneath.
Though youthful, the curves of this body stood out even more against the clothes, making him feel even more self-conscious.
It really felt like this slip was still a bit too small.
As expected, the online sizing guides weren’t very accurate.
It was a bit uncomfortable to wear, stuffy even, but still bearable…
For now, this will have to do!
As long as it works, it’s fine!
Lin Xinyuan felt his nose getting a little hot.
He took a deep breath, trying to suppress the heat, but all he inhaled was the lingering scent of toilet cleaner.
He used his fair hand to rub his delicate nose.
“Forget it… Let’s just get dressed quickly, it’s getting late anyway. There’ll be plenty of time to look later…”
“Speaking of which, if I get a girlfriend or a wife in the future, and I look at myself in this form, does that count as cheating…”
The thought came out of nowhere, and he shook his head, speechless:
“Tsk… Whether I can even find one is a problem…”
Even though he was already much more popular as a guy, he just couldn’t feel anything for it anymore.
Right now, the only thing that interested him was watching Qin Nanfeng suffer.
He, Lin Xinyuan, someone with a bit of social anxiety, had suppressed his fears and pursued Li Xue’er.
After succeeding, he’d been with Li Xue’er for so long, yet they’d only ever held hands—and this was the result, such a lightning-fast switch…
Looking back now, they must have gotten together ages ago!
And suddenly having so many people wanting to get to know him, Lin Xinyuan felt very uncomfortable.
It wasn’t just his personality—he was starting to get disillusioned with it all.
Maybe he was being dramatic, but thinking back on every moment with Li Xue’er, it seemed like he was always the one who wasn’t liked.
From the beginning to the end, it was all one-sided.
So why agree in the first place?
Was it just for fun, or did she see him as some stepping stone, someone to use and discard—a simp, really?
Lin Xinyuan didn’t understand, but there was nothing he could do.
He doubted he’d ever fall for a girl so easily again…
He had to find a good girl next time!
“Ah, why do I always get hung up on this kind of thing, such a sissy! So whiny…”
The girl lightly patted her own cheeks, a bit annoyed.
“Whatever, I’ll get my revenge, who cares what anyone thinks!”
“Yes!” A stubborn voice echoed in the stall, but then fizzled out. “Ah, damn… Saying it so boldly, but I still have to seduce someone, this is ridiculous!”
“Just this once, alright? I’m never using this thing again!”
Lin Xinyuan said with determination, though he wasn’t entirely sure inside.
But no matter what, he had to seize this chance.
Better do it while Huang Mao hasn’t changed shifts yet.
Otherwise, if he tried to seduce Huang Mao after the change, how would he be any different from that annoying guy?
With that thought, Lin Xinyuan began changing into his outer clothes.
After some consideration, he put on the dress, then slipped on new socks and shoes.
“Finally done changing…”
“Oh right, where’s the hat… and the phone case, too…”
Lin Xinyuan remembered he still had two more packages.
He opened the last two boxes, put on a straw hat, and changed his phone case.
Looking at the pinkish phone case in his hand, he nodded in satisfaction:
“That should do it, right?”
Next, he tidied up his things, stuffing the clothes he’d changed out of into a plastic bag he’d brought, and cleaned up the trash as well.
The weather was a bit hot. After finishing all this, Lin Xinyuan had worked up a bit of a sweat.
He wiped his brow with the back of his hand, then suddenly remembered he’d brought tissues.
He fished a pack of tissues out of the plastic bag with his clothes, pulled one out, and, by habit, tried to stuff the rest into his pocket—only to find nothing but the silky feel of the dress.
The pocket was empty.
“This dress doesn’t even have a single pocket…”
Lin Xinyuan was a little annoyed and sighed. He could only carry things by hand—same with his phone.
It really was inconvenient.
Looking at the pile of package boxes, he thought for a moment, then decided to take out the trash first before coming back for his things.
Fortunately, the second floor of the main cafeteria also had recycling bins.
Lin Xinyuan carefully slipped out of the men’s bathroom, threw away the trash, then snuck back in to grab the big bag with his clothes and shoes, along with his phone.
Slipping out of the men’s bathroom like a thief, Lin Xinyuan finally let out a long breath.
He thought he’d better find somewhere else to change next time.
There were still a few people around here—like just now, when he came back to get his clothes, he saw a guy walk into the bathroom.
He’d had to wait for the guy to leave, then check again, before daring to go in and grab his stuff.
Good thing nothing was discovered, or it would’ve been a hassle.
“It’s eleven o’clock…”
Lin Xinyuan went downstairs and left the cafeteria.
Although the food at Tianbei University’s main cafeteria was average—nothing compared to the smaller dining halls—it was cheaper, with the highest school subsidies.
As lunchtime approached, the path was getting crowded.
Beautiful things always attract attention, and so did the girl walking down the road at this moment.
Even though she was carrying a black plastic bag, which spoiled the look a little, she still drew many eyes.
There were guys and girls alike—admiring, passionate, shy, eager to try, some just stealing a glance and pretending not to care, others jealous, and so on.
But none of that mattered to Lin Xinyuan now.
Before anyone could react and pull out their phone to capture this moment, the girl had already hurried off.
No way was Lin Xinyuan going to put up with so many eyes on him.
That would make him really uncomfortable…
Better make a quick escape!
By the time the girl had run a ways off, those who realized and raised their phones could only regretfully snap a shot of a fleeting figure in white…
Once he was out of the main cafeteria’s range, Lin Xinyuan looked back. Sure enough, there were even more people over there now.
Good thing he’d left early. Otherwise, if someone had taken a picture of him, it might have messed up his plans…
Thinking that, he kept walking, passing a few academic buildings, until he reached a secluded spot with some ornamental shrubs.
The girl’s dark, lively eyes darted around, making sure no one was nearby.
Then she quickly hid the two black plastic bags in the bushes.
After hiding them, she circled around and checked again.
Satisfied that they were well hidden, Lin Xinyuan finally left and headed for the school gate.
He’d agreed to meet Qin Nanfeng at a café near the school at noon.
Lin Xinyuan had arrived early, but that was part of the plan.
From what he knew, when Qin Nanfeng said noon, it meant noon—she was punctual, never early, never late.
He wanted to get there first and sit quietly, like a lady in a novel, so he could show off his feminine beauty and leave the best impression.
Hehehe…
That’s right, there shouldn’t be any problem…
Lin Xinyuan left the gate, crossed the street, and after a while arrived at the café marked on his phone.
Fortunately, he had the straw hat to shield him from the sun—only his fair forehead had a faint sheen of sweat.
Of course, the main point of the straw hat was for decoration.
Otherwise, as a big guy, Lin Xinyuan would never have thought to buy something like this just to block the sun…
[Xiangyu Café]
Looking at the four large, stylized characters above the shop, and the sleek, high-end black-themed storefront, Lin Xinyuan felt a little curious, and a bit timid.
This was all very unfamiliar to him.
He’d never been to a café before—at most, he’d ordered a cup of MIXUE on a delivery app…
He felt a bit awkward, but not enough to keep him from going in. Before he knew it, he was at the entrance.
He pushed open the glass door.
A rush of air conditioning greeted him, making him feel refreshed.
Just then, a neat-looking girl in black and white—obviously a staff member—stepped out from the side by the entrance, smiling politely at Lin Xinyuan:
“Hello! Welcome to Xiangyu Café.
Are you here by yourself?”
