“Ha…ah…”
When that unbearably humiliating warmth finally dissipated, the rush of relief snapped Aier back to consciousness.
But before she could even savor the comfort, a tidal wave of shame crashed over her.
I’m… really socially dead this time…
“Aiya~” Xie Yier’s amused exclamation shattered the devastating silence. “Looks like Little Ai had a lot built up~”
Her voice was still gentle, even tinged with a note of “praise” and surprise, as she smiled radiantly at Aier, whose face had gone deathly pale. “Now you don’t need to go to the bathroom anymore, do you?”
It’s all out already, of course I don’t need to go…
Aier stayed silent, head down, her face so red it looked like it might start dripping blood.
“All right, all right.” Xie Yier, as if finally done playing, clapped her hands lightly in a relaxed tone. “Go take another bath first. Look at you, you’ve gotten yourself dirty again~”
Aier didn’t respond. Having lived through “two centuries” already, she suddenly bowed her head and dashed to the Bathroom in utter embarrassment.
She moved so fast, a faint breeze was left in her wake.
In the Bathroom, after rinsing herself off, Aier sank into the hot water that Xie Yier had somehow arranged to be changed without her noticing.
I’d rather just die!
She didn’t know how long she soaked, but the once-warm water was now growing cool.
Aier lingered in a daze, lost between confusion for the future and grief for her shattered dignity, even beginning to doubt if she could endure any longer.
Three years. If she was toyed with like this for three years, by the time the contract ended, she’d be completely broken, wouldn’t she?
“Little Ai, how much longer are you going to stay in there?” Xie Yier’s voice came through the door, the hint of a smile teasing at the heart.
It was like a devil’s voice luring Aier to step willingly into the abyss.
Expression vacant, Aier moved like a puppet drained of its soul, mechanically leaving the Bathtub.
She wasn’t even aware that her body had started moving on its own.
It was clear that Xie Yier’s teasing was a complete success!
Her body automatically dried off, slipped into a fresh bathrobe, and then, dazed, she opened the Bathroom door.
Only after stepping out did Aier finally snap back to reality, noticing that the patch of Carpet she’d “soaked” was nowhere to be seen.
Aier froze, then blurted out instinctively, “Huh? Master, where’s the Carpet?”
Xie Yier replied, “Oh, I just had the Maid clean it up.”
At these words, Aier’s gaze trembled, and the flush of shame surged back to her cheeks.
She didn’t want to say anything, didn’t want to care about anything—she just hoped the day she could leave would come sooner.
But Xie Yier didn’t seem eager to let things end so soon.
“Little Ai, Master has good news for you~” That signature, sly, mischievous smile appeared on her face. “I’ve already decided how to punish you~”
Aier’s head snapped up.
Her green eyes were filled with disbelief and a hint of ashen despair.
Isn’t this enough already?
Seeing Aier’s face as if the end of the world had come, Xie Yier let out a snicker, her golden eyes curving into crescent moons.
“Why do you look so unwilling? I said it’s good news.” She deliberately drew out her words, savoring Aier’s nervous reaction. “The answer is—tonight, you have to hold me while you sleep~”
Aier: “…”
Aier: “Eh?!”
Her muddled brain couldn’t keep up with Xie Yier’s pace for a moment. She’d thought Xie Yier’s punishment would be either OO or XX.
Did the sun rise in the west today? She was being let off this easily?
Aier felt it was all unreal.
“What’s wrong? Don’t like it? Or do you prefer something a bit rougher?” Xie Yier tilted her head, feigning distress, and sighed. “Sigh~ Actually, Master prefers that too, but making you cry every time, Master does feel a bit bad. But if Little Ai likes it more that way, Master can try harder, you know.”
“No need! No need! This is just fine.”
Aier shook her head like a rattle drum, terrified that if she hesitated even a second, the little rabbit would be stuffed with carrots.
Not just ordinary carrots, but iron carrots, jade carrots, golden carrots…
Just thinking about it made a chill run down Aier’s spine.
Xie Yier gave a meaningful smile, patting the spot beside her on the Bed. “Since that’s the case, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and get on.”
As Xie Yier wished, Aier climbed onto the Bed, then, in an almost stiff posture, clung tightly to Xie Yier.
Xie Yier was perfectly content, gently stroking Aier’s soft, fluffy hair. “It’s getting late. Rest early. There’s more to do tomorrow.”
The moment she touched the unbelievably soft mattress and the warm, fragrant covers, Aier—exhausted from a day of mental and physical torment—fell asleep almost instantly.
Today had really been too long.
Just before she lost consciousness, she unconsciously buried her face into Xie Yier’s vast, suffocatingly ample bosom, her nose surrounded by the other’s unique, aggressive cool fragrance.
Xie Yier looked down at Aier’s defenseless sleeping face in her arms, a few strands of black hair mingling with Aier’s golden locks.
She reached out her free hand, fingertips gently brushing aside Aier’s sweat-dampened golden bangs.
Her hand slid slowly down Aier’s smooth cheek, finally resting on those soft lips, her fingertip feeling the warmth of her breath.
The arm that Aier was using as a pillow quietly tightened, wrapping with unyielding strength around Aier’s slender waist, drawing her deeper into her embrace.
Feeling the fullness brought by the small, uniquely scented body in her arms, Xie Yier sighed in contentment.
So fragrant, so comfortable…
She had a mountain of official duties every day, nearly to the point of exhaustion.
When facing Aier, she worried about being too harsh and scaring her away; but if she was too gentle, Aier wouldn’t treasure it.
Fortunately, in the deep of night, in this space belonging only to her and Aier, she could drop all her masks and, like cherishing the most precious life-sized doll, “savor” her Aier to her heart’s content.
“Little Ai, oh Little Ai, when will you stop making me angry?”
She whispered as she indulged her hands, feeling the soft flatness that contrasted so sharply with her own, fitting perfectly in her palm.
This dependence, unbefitting her status, she buried deep in her heart.
The next morning, sunlight shone brightly and warmly on the expensive Silk Sheets.
For the first time, always-punctual Xie Yier overslept.
Even in her sleep, she subconsciously hugged her “pillow” tighter.
It was a pity she hadn’t thrown her legs over as well—otherwise, Xie Yier in her sleep would have looked just like a young girl.
As for the “pillow” who had woken early—that was Aier.
At this moment, Aier didn’t dare move a muscle, only doing her best to imagine herself as a real “pillow.”
